Experience

Ben Taub Emergency Department, Level 1 Trauma Center, Houston, Texas January 2015Present
Training and working alongside physicians in a Level 1 Trauma Center, continuing to develop my skills, knowledge and proficiency in Emergency Medicine and practicing medicine that reaches across specialties
• Managing low risk cardiac patients that present to the ER with chest pain in the CPU (chest pain unit); consists of serial enzymes and ECGs and working alongside the cardiologist to further risk stratify and formulate a short- and long-term plan for these patients
• Managing patients that are admitted to the Clinical Decision Unit (CDIJ) from the ER for disease processes that require a projected 12-24 hours of intervention such as IV antibiotics for cellulitis, serial nebs and steroids for COPD/asthma exacerbations, diuresis with I/Os for CHF, and blood transfusions for anemia.
