Norman L. Berkman M.D. F.A.C.P.

Dr. Norman Berkman has specialized in internal medicine for many years both locally and internationally. After graduating, completing his internship, and starting his residency at University of Pittsburgh he moved to Baylor College of Medicine where he completed his residency and did a fellowship focusing on oncology and hematology. He served as Captain in the United States Air Force at the School of Aerospace Medicine.

Throughout his medical career, Dr. Berkman has treated patients from the Middle East, Europe, Mexico, and South America. He has arranged courses to be completed by medical students and physicians as well as establishing hospital affiliations between international and local hospitals. He enjoys leadership roles in many community charity organizations and events over many decades.

He operated as the Chief of Internal Medicine and Chief of Medical Staff at both Woman’s Hospital of Texas and Medical Center Del Oro Hospital. Dr. Berkman has served on multiple hospital board committees at Methodist Hospital, Medical Center Del Oro, Woman’s Hospital of Texas, and Alert Home Healthcare. Dr. Berkman is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and member of Texas Medical Association, American Medical Associations, and Harris County Medical Society.
